Vancouver’s strikers, Eric Hassli and Atiba Harris, got the job done in Edmonton on Wednesday. Hassli’s 18th minute equaliser was set up by the ever improving Omar Salgado, and Harris’s 41st minute goal sealed the leg for the visitors. The 3,700 in attendance included a sizeable contingent of travelling supporters, who had defeated the Edmonton Supporters Group 11-7 earlier in the day at the neighbouring Clarke Stadium. The second leg is schedule for May 9th at BC Palce.

With a CSA Cup Semi-Final match yet to play, it was a youthful group of Rabbits who trained on the gridiron of Clarke Stadium. The senior squad, especially the expected 18, departed early. But no matter what happens on Wednesday, if this group is anything to go on, the future of Edmonton is indeed bright.
