Vancouver Whitecaps FC are in the midst of rumour central of late in the football world. Many of those rumours have players departing, including Major League Soccer’s Golden Boot winner Camilo Sanvezzo.
According to ESPN Deportes, Sanvezzo is off to Mexico with Querétaro FC. They allege that Sanvezzo has already signed and is expected to join the team on January 4th. Nowhere in the article does it mention a transfer fee paid for O Mágico. The Whitecaps have denied the story as rumour, insisting that Sanvezzo is under contract, and expected to be in Vancouver for training camp later this month.
In Mexico, they aren’t sure of Sanvezzo’s contract status. Querétaro FC’s manager, Ignacio Ambríz, confirmed to Mexican media that Sanvezzo is coming, and that he will arrive this weekend.
Elsewhere, the never ending saga of Kenny Miller continues. This time, Sky Sports is reporting that Miller is open to a return to Rangers (nothing new), and if he doesn’t sign an extension with Vancouver, he would be willing to make the move back to Scotland.
What’s next? How about some concrete signings.
